The Henry Walser Funeral Home are pleased to provide the service of accepting cash, cheque and debit card donations on behalf of our local charities, at our funeral home. Recognizing that not everyone has the opportunity of coming to our funeral home, we have provided a few avenues in placing a donation from your own home. You may contact us directly and we will assist you by phone or email or you could donate through our website.
Acknowledgement of your donation will be provided for all donations regardless if it was placed at our funeral home, over the phone, by email or through our website. We can assure you that the family will receive notice of your kindness.
If you choose to make a donation in memory of a loved one, with our 'Memorial Donations' program, the step-by-step guide is provided below.
Step 1. Select the Online Tribute Funeral Record for whom you wish to place a donation.
Step 2. Select 'Place a Donation' from the menu selection, as shown below.
Step 3. Once you have selected 'Place a Donation', you will be asked to select a type of payment you would like to use. Please click on 'Select' under your preferred type of payment. Charitable Organizations listed in our Credit Card selection have chosen to be added to the list by registering with our website system.
Step 4. The window will populate with the choices of charitable organizations within that payment type, in alphabetical order. The families preferred charities will be highlighted on the right side. Select the charity you wish to donate to by clicking on the 'Donate With...' button for the corresponding charity.
Step 5. A Donor Contact Information form will then pop up. Please fill in all boxes with red asterisks next to it, as these are Required Fields. (You will have to scroll down to finish the form and click 'continue' to advance to the next step.)
Step 6. Select how much you would like to donate and click 'Continue'. The system will then bring you to a donation summary where you will be able to review your donation and have an option to print a form of this information to mail in with your cheque.
Step 7. Click 'Continue' again and the system will allow you to send a message to the family and the option for yourself or us to print the donation acknowledgment card *Note: we print cards for all donations regardless if the box is checked. If you have checked to print your own card, you can click 'Continue' again to go to another window and print a PDF of your card.
The placing a donation process is now complete.
