Obituary for Helmuth Werner Filipowitsch

Helmuth Werner Filipowitsch
Filipowitsch, Helmuth:

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Helm, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, August 23rd, 2015 at the age of 67.

Helm was the loving husband of Carol for 44 years, loving Father of Mike Filipowitsch and Lisa Wright (Joel), and proud Papa of Brittany, Morgan, Taylor and Samantha. He is also survived by his Mother Margaret, sister-in-law Lynne Hare (Ron) and brother-in-law David Yanke (Rachel) and their children.

Friendship was very important to Helm. He will be missed by his friends from Chuckers Club, some of whom he knew from kindergarten and by his many treasured friends from Sunlife. He was an excellent photographer and had a wicked sarcastic sense of humour.
Cremation has taken place.
Helm's family will receive relatives and friends from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m on Wednesday, August 26th, 2015 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation will continue on Thursday, August 27th, 2015 from 12 p.m. - 12:45 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. Reception to follow.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
