WOOD, Mary Frances, nee Runstedtler (1937-2018)
Mary passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018 at the age of 80, surrounded by family.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her children: Mark of Kitchener, ON; Christopher of Yellowknife, NT; Valerie of Windsor, ON; and Wayne and his wife, Linda, of Windsor, ON. She will also be missed by her grandsons: Robert and Aaron.

She is survived by her brother, John and his wife, Elisea; by her sister, Christine; by her sister, Helen Lippert and her husband, Kenneth; all of Kitchener; and her sister-in-law, Louise (Wood) Goreas of Kelowna, BC.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Edward (Bob) Wood in 1999; by her parents, John Bernard Runstedtler and Mary Frances (Blinkhorn) Runstedtler, and her maternal aunt, Elizabeth (Blinkhorn) Novakoski.
Mary worked for the Toronto-Dominion Bank for twenty-eight years in Elmira, ON, Wingham, ON, Halifax, NS and Kitchener, ON, retiring in 1995. Mary and Bob were long time members of the Waterloo Knights of Columbus Council 5135, Retired Members' Club, where Mary served as treasurer from 1997 to 2014. Mary was a founding member of the Senior Choir at Blessed Sacrament Parish, Kitchener. She also belonged to the Funeral Choir and the Catholic Women's League. A Funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 305 Laurentian Drive in Kitchener on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 12 noon. Reception to follow in the church hall. Interment will be at Williamsburg Cemetery, Kitchener, in the spring. Cremation has taken place.
Thanks to Winston Park Retirement home for their exemplary care and compassion and to Dr. Janet MacEachern at Grand River Hospital Oncology. Special thanks to Dr. Asher Mendelson and the ICU team who took great care of our mother during her transition.
