Goodman, Barbara
Sadly the family of Barbara Joan Goodman announces her passing on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the age of 84. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Elsie Hutchison and husband, Russell Goodman.

She will be missed by her daughter Christine of Cambridge, son Michael and his wife Cathy of Waterloo, son Stephen and his wife Sherry of Cambridge, and daughter Sharon (Rick) of Kirkland Lake. She was the proud Grandmother to Amanda (Ken), Aaron, Desirae, Savanna, Vanessa, Devon and Brayden as well as Great Grandmother to Jelani, Freeyah, Maxwell and Jaxon.

Barbara is survived by her sister Marion, brother Donald (Mary), sisters-in-law Shirley and Carol as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings: Bobby, Janet and Jimmy.

Barbara was born April 7, 1933. She left Kirkland Lake for a short time to fulfill her career dreams and graduated in 1952 with her Nursing Degree. She returned to Northern Ontario and started and ended her Nursing Career at the Kirkland Lake and District Hospital. Even after retirement, she returned there as a volunteer.

Barbara's last years were spent in Southern Ontario but she will be laid to rest in her home town of Kirkland Lake.

Her celebration of life will be held at French Family Funeral Home in the spring of 2018 - details to follow. Private cremation has taken place.
