Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of family on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Hospice Wellington at the age of 94.
Beloved husband of the late Betty Edwards (2001).
Dear father of Nancy and her husband Mike McMullen of Edmonton, Harriet and her husband John Rennie of Fergus and Paul and his wife Deb of Guelph and the late Al (December 17, 2017). Dear father-in-law of Brigitte of Kitchener.
Loving grandfather of nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Don will be missed and remembered by his sister-in-law Pat of Guelph.
Predeceased by his parents Keith and Doris (nee McDonald) Edwards, brothers James, John and sister Alice.
Don's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. The funeral service will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2018 in the chapel of the funeral home followed by a reception.
Cremation to follow with interment at New Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hospice Wellington would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
