Schmidt, Melvin:
Passed away peacefully on Monday, March 12th, 2018 at The Westmount Long Term Care at the age of 92.
Beloved husband of Ellen for almost 60 years.
Loving father of Gary, Roger (Pauline), Pat (Terry) and Lorraine.
Cherished grandpa of Eric and Corinna, Rebecca and Emma, and Levana and Aiden.
Predeceased by his son, Danny (1989).
Melvin's family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 14th, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation will continue from 10:00 to 10:45 am on Thursday, March 15th, 2018, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11 am. Reception to follow. Private family interment at Mildmay United Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Gideons International in Canada would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
