Passed away peacefully at Lanark Heights on Monday, November 20, 2017 at the age of 88.
Beloved husband of the late Hazel (nee Dinger). Loving father of Tim (Pat) Zehr, Peter Zehr, and Carol (Ted) Scheffler. Cherished grandfather of Nathan (Emily), Melissa (Joshua), Zach (Lynette), Kyle, Katie, Bhreagh, Lucas and Niccola. Great-grandfather to Hannah, Seth and Charlie. Predeceased by his parents Jonas Zehr and Inoda Kipfer. Dear brother of Melvin and the late Roy and Mildred.
Ray's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Thursday, November 23, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. The Memorial Service will be held at Glen Acres Baptist Church, 223 Hartwood Ave., Kitchener on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 11 a.m . A reception will follow in the church hall. Private interment in Union Cemetery, New Dundee. Private cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Glen Acres Baptist Church or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
