Quietly in her sleep on February 10, 2017, in her 96th year, Mary Veronica Hart, wife of the late William McNeel Stoody of Kitchener ON. Mother of Joanne (Richard Weeks) of Ottawa ON; Charles (Deborah Phelan) of North Vancouver BC and their daughters Kathleen (Michael Wylie), Marianne and Alison (Fajer Abu Zayed); Janet (Jim Harding) of the Qu’Appelle Valley SK and their sons Joel (Jennifer Linton) and Dagan; Matthew (Julie Duchesneau) of Toronto ON, and their children Michael Francis and Charlotte and; William McNeel (Diane Shantz) of Kitchener ON, and their children Angela and William Alexander. Vera was predeceased by her parents Michael Francis Hart and Mary Helen Weir, her brothers Monsignor Michael Francis Hart, Albert Hart and Charles Hart and by her sister Ann Beauchamp. She is survived by her sister Norah Proulx of Gatineau QC and by her great-grandchildren Madeline Wylie and Amelia Wylie of Coquitlam BC and Finley Harding of Whitehorse YT.
Visitation will be held at Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, ON, on February 15th from 7-9 pm. Private cremation and interment. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Anne’s RC Church, 268 East Avenue, Kitchener, ON on February 16th at 10 am.
Vera will be remembered by friends and loved ones for her indomitable spirit, her hearty laugh and her loving heart. The family would like to express its appreciation to the staff at Columbia Forest LTC., Robertson Brown Health Services and Beechwood Manor. Special gratitude and thanks to Janice Kenny for her constancy and dedication.
Memorial donations to the Carmel of St. Joseph, 1127 Carmel-Koch Rd., RR1, St. Agatha, ON N0B 2L0, or to the charity of your choice, would be appreciated by the family.
