ZEHR, Stanley.
Passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital on Saturday, March 26, 2016 in his 88th year. Beloved husband and best friend of the late Laurene Zehr (Bast) for 64 years. Predeceased by his parents, Aaron and Katie (Leis); siblings Mary, Harold, Gerald, Grace Lizmore, sister-in-law Ginger and brother-in-law Wayne Yantzi. Loving Father of Brian (Karen), Barry (Ronda) and Steve Zehr. Cherished Grampa of David Beach (Heather), Jennifer Zehr-Frederick (Marlon), Heather Durst (Ryan), Rebecca and Daniel, Dalton and Emma Zehr; Great-Grampa of Mikaila and Joshua Beach and Trey Frederick. He will be remembered fondly by his sisters-in-law Laurene Zehr of Zurich and Betty Zehr of Kitchener. Dear brother of Joanne Grischow (Doug), Paul Zehr, Ruth Yantzi and Rhoda Baechler (Glen). You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Thank you to the 5th floor staff at Grand River Hospital who kept him comfortable until the end and to all the staff at Highland Place Retirement Home where they always made him feel at home.
Visitations at Henry Walser Funeral Home 507 Frederick St, Kitchener ON N2B 2A5 on Tuesday March 29, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Visitation also at First Mennonite Church, 800 King St E, Kitchener, ON N2G 2M6 on Wednesday, March 30 from 11 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. with funeral to follow at 1pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to First Mennonite Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
