Obituary for Ted Nowak
Nowak, Ted (Teddy)
Passed away on Wednesday, November 22nd, 2017 at Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital at the age of 93.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Florence (nee Lazinsky 2003), his parents, Walter and Anna (nee Shewchuk) and siblings Walter, Joseph, Stanley, Edward, Mary and Adela. Loving father of Mark, David and Paul. Survived by his grandchildren, Christie (Brandon) Doneff, Michelle Nowak (Dave Green), Rob Nowak (Stephanie), Greg Nowak, (Rachel), Olivia Nowak, and his great grandchildren, Jade and Carter Doneff. Brother of Frank Nowak (Marie) and Anne Dlugokecki.
Ted was a fourth degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus - Father Funken Assembly, a third degree Knight with Waterloo 5135 Council, Waterloo Legion Branch # 530 and formerly active in many local organizations. He was employed by Kitchener Packers for 25 years and University of Waterloo for 23 years.
Cremation has taken place.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Monday from 7-9 p.m. The memorial service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday November 28, 2017 at 1 p.m. with a reception to follow Cremation has taken place and Ted will be interred at Woodland Cemetery .
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation - Freeport Health Care Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
