Obituary for Steve Juritsch

Steve Juritsch
Juritsch, Steve
It is with great sadness that we announce the death and peaceful passing of
Steve Juritsch on March 15, 2017 at Southlake Regional Health Centre.
Predeceased by beloved wife, Delia (May 13, 2008). Cherished father to Karen. Wonderful father-in-law to Bob Taylor. Loving Poppa to Katie. Dear friend of the late Anna Ferber. He will also be missed by his siblings and their families.
Steve was born in Filipovo, Yugoslavia on April 16, 1927. Steve survived a horrifying massacre in his village, escaped a POW camp and joined the French Foreign Legion. He immigrated to Canada after the war where he met his beautiful Bermuda-born wife and enjoyed 53 years of marriage. Originally settled in Toronto, they moved to Kitchener in 1966. He began work with Waterloo Metal Stampings in 1969, retiring in 1990. He moved to Aurora in 2016 to continue his work as an amazing grandfather. As per Steve’s wishes, no funeral is planned. Cremation has taken place. Internment at Williamsburg Cemetery will be on March 25, 2017 at 1:30 pm. We would like to thank the staff at Sunrise of Aurora. We are extremely grateful for their care and truly thankful for the compassion and warmth shown to Steve. Donations in Steve and Delia’s memories can be made to St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Region by contacting the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 519-749-8467 or by visiting www.henrywalser.com for Steve's memorial.
