Obituary for Roger Alvin West
West, Roger Alvin:
Passed away peacefully with his loving wife Katherine at his side, on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Innisfree House at the age of 63. Also present at his passing, were his parents and his sister and Ken and Ruth Breeze. Cherished father of Ryan West of Kitchener and grandfather of Matthew Duffy of Pembroke. Roger will be sadly missed by Ebony, Ryder and Sunshine.
Loving son of Ray and Jean West of Hunstville and dear brother of Gloria Haight of Huntsville and Linda Hulcoop of British Columbia.
Roger taught construction / woodworking for many years at College Heights Secondary School, Guelph. He was a very talented woodworker and shared his skills with his students and community.
Roger's family will receive relatives and friends from 2 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. with the memorial service being conducted at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Stanley Park Baptist Church, 31 Lorraine Ave., Kitchener, with the reception to follow at the church. Private cremation taken place.
Arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home (519-749-8467).
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Innisfree House would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
My Roger you are not forgotten,
