Passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 18th, 2017 at home surrounded by family at the age of 78.
Beloved husband of 42 years to Olga. Loving father of Gary (Serena) Henning and Richard (Laura) Henning.
Cherished Opa of Briana, Braeden, Julia, Rudy and Harper. Dear brother of Anneliese (the late Nikolaus) Hartmann and Katharina (the late Fred) Schuller.
Dear brother-in-law of Erna (Josef) Altmeppen, Fritz- Martin (Christa) Henning.
Survived by his nieces and nephews of Germany and Kitchener.
Predeceased by his parents Daniel and Katharina Henning.
A special thank you to Nurse Barb and all the personal support workers for the care and compassion they have provided.
Daniel's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 2-2:45 p.m. a service will follow in the chapel at 3 pm. A reception will follow the service in the Funeral Home. Interment Williamsburg Cemetery at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
