Holland, Carol Jean (nee Powell):
Passed away peacefully at her home with Sandy and Doug by her side, on Sunday, July 2nd, 2017 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Frederick Holland (2012). Loving mother of Christine Sheppard (Gary Sundholm) and Sandra Malich (Doug). Much loved grandma of Brandi Mah (the late Terry), Tom Ginn (Shauna), and Karen Ginn, and great grandma of Emma and Kara Mah and Tommy and Cleo Ginn. Dear sister of Thomas Powell (Dorothy). She will be fondly remembered by everyone who knew her. Carol Jean worked at Bell Canada for over 30 years. Cremation has taken place. Carol Jean's family will receive relatives and friends from 12 noon - 12:45 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 where a celebration of Carol Jean's life will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener following the reception at the funeral home. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Lung Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home). As per Carol Jean's request please wear bright colours.
