Zettel, Jean:
Passed away on Saturday, April 30th, 2016 in the arms of her cherished and loving husband John, whom she married on May 21, 1949.
Jean is the dedicated mother of 8 children, Linda (Bob), Maureen (Larry), Patricia, Susanne (Dave), Carolyn (Frank), John (Kim), William (Penny) and Jim (Cathy), who relied on her understanding wisdom, talents and loving spirit.
Jean has many grandchildren and great grandchildren that she adored.
Jean very much loved her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her 3 sisters, Vimy and Sandra of California and Sheila of Kitchener. She was predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters and her parents Jonathan and Mabel Loftus. She loved to reminisce about their lives and adventures.

Jean's passion for formal and informal education continued throughout her lifetime, ranging from attending university, her teaching career and participation in many tax seminars. She began her career with H & R Block and after several years started her own business with offices at her beloved home, Hiway Market , Waterloo Square and Krug St.

Jean was always an active member of the Maryhill Community, serving on the PTA, Maryhill Players, Maryhill Historical Society, and she was a constant supporter of the Maryhill Fire Department.

Jean enjoyed touring with John and their friends in their antique cars in the Historical Automobile Society of Canada (HASC) especially attending the Annual Normoska event.

Jean's family will receive relatives and friends from 2 - 4 pm & 7 - 9 pm on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Parish prayers 3 pm on Tuesday. Mass will be held at St. Boniface R.C. Church 1354 Maryhill Rd.,Maryhill, Ontario on Wednesday, May 4th, 2016 at 10 am.
Interment St. Boniface Cemetery.
Reception to follow at Ariss Golf and Country Club ( 5700 Hwy 86, Ariss, ON).
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. Boniface Church Building Fund or Grand River Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
