It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dennis Elander Reid after a long battle with cancer. Dennis passed away peacefully at Innisfree House on March 1, 2017 one day before his 68th birthday with his family by his side. Beloved high school sweetheart and husband of Joanne (Beechey) for 47 years. Loving Dad to Natasha and Mike, Tanya and Rob and Derek and Tracey. Proud Grandpa to Alex Magon, Sasha, Katelyn, Nisha and Liam Owens, and Nathan, Andy, Indica and Odyn Reid. Brother of Pat and Ken, John, Judy and Brian, Bob and Susan, Sally and Jim and predeceased by his beloved brother Bill and parents Selma and Bill. He will be missed by many extended family and cherished friends. The family would like to thank the many visitors and offers of rides, food and support. We would also like to extend heartfelt thanks to the Cancer Clinic, and especially Dr. Kuk and nurse Rose of Grand River Hospital. A special thank you to the caring staff at CCAC and staff and volunteers at Innisfree House. You will be forever missed Den, Daddy, and Grandpa.
Den's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener (519) 749-8467. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow. Cremation has taken place.
