Passed away unexpectedly in Sterzing, Italy on January 1st 2017, during her 24th year. Chelsea was living in Sterzing with her fiancée, Colin Behenna. Chelsea graduated from Conestoga College in 2015 with a degree in Mechanical Systems Engineering. After graduating, Chelsea had been working at Trade-Mark Industrial as a project manager before leaving for Italy.

Beloved daughter of Joe and Teresa, much admired sister of Riley and Ben Alvarez, treasured fiancée of Colin Behenna, adored future daughter-in-law of Declan and Wendy Behenna, cherished granddaughter to Dorothy Davis. Chelsea is also survived and missed by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Predeceased by grandparents Antonio and Elva Alvarez, grandfather Dennis Davis.

Chelsea's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Friday, January 13, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener. Parish prayers will take place at 8:45 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at St. Agnes R.C. Church, 75 Bluevale St. North, Waterloo. Father Aleks Mazur officiating. Interment Parkview Cemetery followed by a reception and sharing of memories in the church hall.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Chelsea Alvarez Memorial Award would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
