Fields, Kenneth Joseph:
Surrounded by his family, Kenneth passed away peacefully, on Saturday, January 7th, 2017 at The Westmount Long Term Care Centre at the age of 79.
Beloved husband of 58 years to RoseMarie "Pinky". Loving father of Ken (Ellie), Ron (Judy), Joann (Kevin) McCallum, John, Joe (Kelly), and Jim (Sheryl). Cherished Papa to 12 grandchildren and Old Papa to 2 great grandchildren. Brother-in-law of Steve (Ruby) LeFaive. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and many friends.
Predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Mary Fields, his sister Shirley (Gil) Bowman and brother-in-law, Danny LeFaive.
Kenneth was a retired commercial artist from the Windsor Star and Kitchener Record. He lived a happy, fun life as he enjoyed his numerous hobbies including woodworking, model trains, painting and his love for music.
A special thank you to Westmount LTC nurses, personal care workers and Fr. Brian Quigley for his final prayers.
Kenneth's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm and Thursday from 1-1:45pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 2pm. A reception will follow in the funeral home. A private family interment will be held on a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. Mary's Cardiac Care Unit or the K-W Humane Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
