Unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 8th, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Angela Wand (nee Keller) and forever missed by his furry companion Murphy. Loving father of Barbara Kitney (Ray) and their daughter Hannah and the late Christopher Wand. He will be lovingly remembered by all his grandchildren. Dear brother of Alphonse (Beatrice) Wand of Saskatchewan, and Irvine Wand of Hanover. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Katherine and by his siblings Gertrude (Len) Stroeder, Loretta (Ernie) Stroeder, Cecilia (Joe) Moyer, Clarence (Agnes) Wand, and Mary Wand. David will be fondly remembered by Cindy (Brad) Whittaker, Bernadene (the late Robert) Mayer, Patricia Johnson, Dawn (Garry) Malo, Carl (Sandy) Keller, Jackie (Dave) Young and many nieces and nephews.
David's family will receive relatives and friends from 12:30 - 2:15 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2017 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 22 Willow St., Waterloo, where the Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Parkinson Foundation of Canada or the Bolivian Children's Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
