Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of family on Monday, January 9, 2017 at the age of 93.
Beloved wife of the late Yangos (2001). Loving mother of Andreas (Linda), Angela Lardis (the late Alex), Nick (Elpida), Maria Woodley (the late Fred), Jannet Kasioulis (John), Chryso Fylactou (Andy), Frieda Tsintaris (Andreas) and Helen Markogiannakis (Chris). Agni will be missed and remembered by 22 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Theodora Georgiou in England.
Agni's family will receive relatives and friends from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Trisagion 7:30 p.m. on Sunday evening. Funeral service 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 527 Bridgeport Road, Kitchener. Fr. Konstantine Chatzis officiating. Interment Parkview Cemetery followed by a Makaria meal in the church hall.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church or the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre (cheques made payable to the Grand River Hospital Foundation) would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
