Condolence From: Shannon Johnston
Condolence: I just found out yesterday about Cherry's passing by fluke, months later. It breaks my heart that I wasn't able to attend her service and memorial because she was so special to me.
Cherry was my vocal teacher from age 13 to 22. During high school, I suffered from severe anxiety and medical issues with my arthritis. No matter how hard things were, I always had something to look forward to every week: my 45 minute lesson with Cherry. I could tell her everything. So much so that we probably didn't do enough singing!! My dad used to pick me up from Beckett and say "How was your talking lesson? :)".
Through her, I got to know you both: Stephanie and Colin. She always had great stories to tell. You both were her entire world.
Please know how sorry I am that she passed so young. She was an amazing woman with such natural kindness and class. I don't think I would have gotten through my teens without her.

Condolence: My heart is with you Fraser family, I was a student of Cherry's at the Beckett school for quite a few years and I was so lucky to have had the opportunity to have studied under her and been taught all the wonderful things that brought my love of music to its peak. I will miss Cherry dearly and I'm so sorry the world has lost such an amazing women. She was truly a beautiful soul and I am so blessed to have known her and had her help shape my life the way she has.

Condolence: Cherry was an amazing woman that I am proud to have called my friend. Her generosity when we were both students in sharing her home, her family, that means you- Colin and Stephanie, was a life line to me. We laughed so much and consoled each other often when life was rough. I'm broken hearted at her sudden and unfair death. To be taken from all who loved he, when she was still so young, is cruel. While I mourn her passing, I continue to hold in my mind and heart, her two wonderful kids. Please know I am always here for you. It's the one last thing I can do for your mom.

Condolence: St Andrews recently has lost 2 saints. My mother, Joyce Laur, also passed away - on Nov. 23rd. Lee and Joyce knew Cherry from the 1960's at St James Rosemount UC, and always spoke fondly of her voice over the years.
She will be missed.
