Ter Vrugt, Richard Conrad
Passed away peacefully with family by his side at St. Michael's Hospital on Saturday, January 28, 2017 following a lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis at the age of 42. Beloved husband of Amy. Proud and devoted father of Nicholas and Emily. Loving son of Dr. Richard Ter Vrugt and Willemina (nee Staring) and son-in-law of William "Bill" McIntyre and the late Lois (nee Johnson). Dear brother of Raquelle (Jeff), Julie (Kevin) and brother-in-law of Scott (Christy) and Katherine (Brent). Fondly remembered by his 5 nieces and nephews. Thanks to the staff of St. Mary's ICU and St. Michael's ICU for all the excellent care and support.
Richard's family will receive relatives and friends from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Service at Community Christian Reformed Church, 1275 Bleams Rd., Kitchener on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 12 noon. Interment Williamsburg Cemetery. Reception to follow in the church hall.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Cystic Fibrosis Canada would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
