The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Donald Kohlsmith can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Carol
Our thoughts and deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family.
Don was a unique but great guy; always enjoyed his company.
He was a true example of the phrase "you can take the boy out of the valley but you can never take the valley out of the boy"

Condolence: For My Dad.....you were quite the comedian and conniseur in your day. We never had a dull moment. You made me laugh, gave great hugs and were the best popa to your grandsons. We are all lost without you but I know you're in a better place listening to all your favorite music and having some fine wine.Your pain is gone now but your spirit and warmth lives on in all of us.
I love you forever.

Condolence: My condolences to you Carol and your family.
Even though Don is in a better place the finality of death never makes goodbyes easy even in terminal sickness.
Its not easy to wash away the memories 48 years leave.
How many new his nickname as a kid was horrible,or remember that he worked for GE and prior to that Kitchener Transit?
There was also his involvement with the K of C.
How much he loved agame of crib or Euchre?
The irony of the nickname horrible was not because he was a horrible man but the fact he cut off part of his finger.
Don will be surely remembered for his gastronomical pursuits.
You could call him Don,Donny, Goldy but never call him late for a feed of his homemade k raut and ribs.
K raut is not a spelling mistake!
