Elbert Wyman Jess, 78, of Cambridge, Ontario, born Kings County, NS, passed away March 17th at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Elbert was the beloved husband, of his wife of 50 years, Angelina Maria Jess (Correia) A loving and devoted father and friend to his 3 children David Luke Jess (Kara Lee), Leroy Oscar Jess and Tina Bella Jess. Grandfather to Samantha (Chris) Aguiar, Rebecca (Tyson) Kenyon, Shannon, Dylan, Jamie, Ethan and Scarlett. And great-grandfather to Seth, Tyson and Emma, brother to Darryl (Norma) Jess and Carolyn Nichols.
Elbert will be forever remembered for his quick wit, wonderful laugh and long chats about what he held closest to his heart, which was his family and his belief in the Bible and its promises. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Elbert spent most of his time in the ministry, helping others learn of these promises, one of these being found at John 5:28-29, which will bring great comfort to his family and friends during this sad time.
Elbert is preceded in death by his parents, David and Jessie Jess.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors, in the CVICU/ICU at St. Mary's for going above and beyond in their care for our father during his illness.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial will be held for Elbert on March 25th at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 11 St. Patrick's Drive, Brantford, Ontario.
