MacKenzie, Margaret:
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at her home in Waterloo at the age of 100.
Beloved wife of the late Hugh MacKenzie.
Loving mother to Donald and his wife June.
Cherished grandma to Todd (Lindsay) and Mark and great-grandma to Claire.
Margaret was born in Guelph, Ontario, daughter of Lyth and Lillie (nee: Hammond) McDonald.
Survived by her sister-in-law Shirley of Amherstburg.
Predeceased by her brother Donald, sister Elspeth and sister Janet Smith.
Margaret's family will receive relatives and friends from 7 - 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation will continue on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 12:30 - 1:15 p.m. followed by a funeral service in the chapel of the funeral home at 1:30 p.m.
Reception to follow.
A private family burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Guelph.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Crohn's and Colitis Canada or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
