Witzke, Walter Hans

Went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Monday, March 13, 2017, shortly after being diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma at the age of 84, one month shy of his 85th birthday.
Walter was a founding member of Eastwood Christian Fellowship, where he served faithfully for many years.

Beloved husband of Elli for 56 years. Will be missed by his children Esther Schroeder (Harold), Krista Schulz (John), Martin (Claudia) and Melvin. Much loved Opa of Daniel (Michaela), Olivia, Matthew, Joshua, Benjamin, Samuel and Lukas. Great-grandfather of Declan. Dear brother of Gerhard (late Lilli), Horst (Annette), and sister-in-law Edith (late Guenther). Predeceased by sister Brigitte Wankmueller and her husband Erwin of Germany.

Visitation will be held at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Visitation will continue from 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2017. Funeral service will be held following the visitation, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel followed by a reception. Pastor Bob Baumann officiating. Interment at Woodland Cemetery.
