Passed away peacefully on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 86.
Loved Pa to Ursula (Wayne) Rose and John (Vicki) Schoch.
Special Grandpa to Wesley (Nicole) Rose, Melanie (Andre) Rose, Kayla Schoch and Jonathan Schoch.
Cherished G.G. to Aaliyah, Halle, Ashton, Landon and Winter.
Will be missed by his companion Jeannette Simard and many nieces and nephews and extended family in Switzerland and Austria.
Predeceased by his wife Sonja.
Cremation has taken place.
John's family will receive relatives and friends from 12-12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A memorial Service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
