Obituary for Donald Peter Cox

Donald Peter Cox
Cox, Donald Peter
September 24, 1932 - March 20, 2017

We want to celebrate the life of Donnie Cox, aka Papa. This man was an icon! He lived life for his wife and family. He adored the love of his life, Winifred "Windy". These two love birds were married for 64 years of unconditional love which was passed on to his children. Never a dull moment, laughs all around!
No one was a stranger to Papa and they loved his incredible sense of humour. Taking Dad to his appointments was life changing. For all those who endured his antics in the waiting room - THANK YOU! His excellent, hard work ethic and knowledge has been passed down to his children; Susan Madison (Tom), Lori Helm (Kevin), Gary Cox (Cheryl) and Lisa Wink (Norbert), grandchildren; Heather (Trey), Jason, Bryanna (Scott), Bronson (Ashley), Alysia (Brad), Hayden, Brody and Mitchell and great-grandchild; Lawson. Survived by his sister Florence Calleya and many nieces and nephews.
Thanks for all the memorable quips and crazy antics that kept us all laughing. Thank you for your incredible life lessons and for being a mentor and role model.

A Celebration of Donnie's life will be held in the chapel of the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467, on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. Reception to follow. Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Waterloo Region would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
