Passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital at the age of 53. Beloved husband of Petra. Loving father of Nicholas, Nathan and Abigail. Dear son of John and Lida and brother of Anna (Mark Shantz), Tina Mayan, Dorli (John Heeney) and Regina (Steve Dick). Dear son-in-law of Lydia Urbanke and brother-in-law of Ralph and Uwe Urbanke.
Al's family will receive relatives and friends from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Private cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
