The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Lorne Wilhelm can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Brian,Brenda, Heather, Carl and families So sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom and Dad. It has been some time since I have been able to visit with them. I remember well the first time I met Lil. We were living at 94 South and one day Lorne showed up to introduce us to someone special. That special someone was of course the love of his life, Lil and she was from Nova Scotia. I was only about six at the time and that intrigued me. After that I always made a point to have a few minutes to talk to her whenever we had the opportunity for a visit. She was always a must talk to whenever I had the chance. And Lorne, well when him and my dad got together you could expect anything. One of their favourite things when I was around was to practice their German and of course I couldn't understand any of it. Eventually they taught me "danke" and eventually what it meant. Thanks, gentlemen. They thought it was great fun because they knew I couldn't understand them and they would just laugh. The last time I spoke with Lil was just a few weeks before she passed. I was so glad that I was able to have had the chance to talk to one of my favourite relatives. Since you are having a memorial for both of them, I would really like to be there, but unfortunately I would not be able to attend. My condolences to you all. I do remember some especially enjoyable family times. Like Carl and Lori's wedding for example. In fact I still have the book of matches from the wedding. And then there was the time we had a family get together at Heather's place a few years ago. Perhaps we can have another one sometime. Ron & Ruby Keller
