Condolence: My sincere condolences to Anne-Marie and the rest of the family. I fondly remember Horst from my days at Unitron, his dry sense of humour and the fact that he expressed his opinion, even if it was not in agreement with the mainstream. May he rest in peace.

Condolence: My sincerest condolences go out to Horst's family. I had the privilege of working with Horst at Unitron from the early 90's until his retirement. Horst was a true gentleman who balanced high intelligence with also being down to earth with a great sense of humour. One memory of Horst I fondly recall is being in a Unitron golf tournament with Horst in our group and the amazing shot he took to clear a water hazard where we used his shot for the group score - it put a smile on his face and he played it down with his modesty.

Condolence: My condolences go out to Horst's family. I first met him when I was a grad student and applied to a job with him at Bell Northern Research. We, of course, ran into each other when we met again at Unitron. You will be missed.

Condolence: My condolence to Horst's family. I worked with him for many years at Unitron, he was a great man.

Condolence: There are just no words, Anne Marie, that can say how truly sorry we are to hear the news of Horst's passing. He was just a wonderful man and the world is a better place for having him here. We remember the happy days of our Supper Club and of singing while Horst played the guitar, of our trips to Kitchener to celebrate Octoberfest and of laughing until we hurt into the wee hours of the night. Our daughters remember the laughter, too, from their hiding spot at the top of the stairs. We had a lot of fun! Then, as the years went by and we would see each other again, it was like we never missed a beat - just like old times again. We miss him already and can only imagine how you and Krista and Susan feel right now. We wish we could be there to help support you through this difficult time. Time will help with the tears but he will never be forgotten!

Condolence: Bill and I were saddened to hear of Horst's passing. We both had the pleasure of working with Horst at Unitron. He was a true gentleman, calm, considerate and kind. He was a respected leader and a good friend to many.

Condolence: The many shared times with Horst and Anne-Marie will be treasured well into the future. Horst's quiet, un-assuming attitude, studied humour and caring manner were so appreciated and explained why he was so loved by his many loyal friends. Condolence: I was saddened to hear that Horst passed away earlier this week. I too have many fond memories of working with him at Unitron. Many hilarious memories as well, as we travelled often together to Kongress in Germany. He was the face of R & D for me. A gentle, intelligent man whom I have recalled many times. Condolence: I have many warm memories of Horst while working at Unitron through the 90's. Horst was responsible for introducing Unitron to the digital age and for guiding them through a tumultuous age. He did so with confidence, grace and dignity. He was instrumental in developing and inspiring the technology Dspfactory was based on so I am personally very grateful.
