Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Adalbert Paul can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

A Dedicated Volunteer

I had the opportunity to know Mark as a member of Compass Kitchener, a small group of dedicated citizens that provide advice to Kitchener City Council on strategic priorities and community issues.  Mark joined the Committee in 2012 and rarely missed a meeting, except for the annual vacation he would take during the summer months.  Over this time, I came to know Mark as an intelligent, kind and gentle man that was always curious about things and with a strong social concience.  He was a strong advocate for affordable housing.  He was known for asking thought provoking questions and making profound statements on occasion that would bring instant clarity to a situation.  Mark enjoyed working with other people and was always willing to make a contribution to the work of the group.

I didn't know much about Mark beyond his work with the Committee, except that he was a dedicated follower of the noon hour concerts at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church on Wednesdays, and he had an interrest in cities, architecture, mountain scenery and railways, as was evident from the beautiful photos he shared with me of his recent trip to Switzerland and Austria.  Mark will be sadly missed by the people that know him.
