Beaupre, Richard "Rich":

Passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Jo Ann (nee Thaler) for 55 years.
Loving Father of the "Beaupre Girls", Cheryl Beaupre (Gary Nower), Michelle (Brian) Parker, Susan Beaupre (Jeff Brick), and Cindy Beaupre. Treasured Papa to Brittany and Jon (Allison) Merkle, Jarrett (Erin) and Brooke Parker, Joel, Alex, and Josh Cairney.
Cherished by his twin brother, Greg (the late Rosemary) Beaupre and his baby brother Wayne (Gay) Beaupre. Loved brother-in-law of Valera Phillips, Evelyn (Wally) Weber, and Nancy Herter. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by Jamie Pegg, the "son he never had". Predeceased by his parents, Louis and Ada (nee Mather) Beaupre.

Richard lived in Waterloo all his life. He volunteered and supported the Waterloo Siskins Jr. B Hockey Club for over 30 years as an Executive member and as a Vice President. In 2007 he was inducted to the Waterloo Hockey “Wall of Fame” at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex.

In 2013 Rich received a lifetime achievement award from the Waterloo Siskins to commemorate his commitment to hockey excellence in the GOJHL.
He was an avid Maple Leafs and Blue Jays fan and enjoyed a pint or two while watching the games. Richard enjoyed family gatherings at his home. He had a very special bond with his grandchildren and always enjoyed their company. Richard worked at a GM dealership his entire life.

Richard's family will receive relatives and friends from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow. Private cremation to take place.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Waterloo Knights of Columbus Council 5135 would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
