Passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Jeannette (nee Cormier) for 48 years. Loving father of Angela Roy-Kilgour (Milton) and Lynn Roy-Kilgour (Brian / BJ). Proud "Pepere" of Trevor, Stephanie, Natasha, Travis and Cody and great-grandfather of Brianna and Alexis. Son of the late Madelaine and Delphis Roy. Dear brother of Clifford (Louise), Gerald (Delia), Raymond (Mireille), Anita (Paul), Lydia (Bill), Rita (late Robert) and the late Lionel (Doreen) and Gerard Jr. (Simone). Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and the Cormier family. George's family will receive relatives and friends from 12:30-1:15 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, (519) 749-8467. Memorial Service in the Chapel on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow at the Moose Lodge, 655 Wabanaki Dr. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation - Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
