Matkowski, Walter:
Passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital, at the age of 87.
Father of Ola von Richter and her husband Ken Reid and Ina and her husband Brian Wilhem. Long time friend of Janet Schumacher. Opa of David and his wife Kristy, Michael and his wife Amanda, Craig. And great-grandfather to Oscar.
Gone but not forgotten.
Private interment service was held at Williamsburg Cemetery and Dedication Centre, 1541 Fischer Hallman Road, Kitchener, Ontario, N2G 3W5 .
Arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation-Freeport Health Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
