Obituary for Wendy Ann Gill

Wendy Ann Gill
Gill, Wendy Ann (nee: Wilkinson)

Passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Innisfree House at the age of 51.

Beloved wife of Blair Gill.
Loving mother of Christina Thibodeau (Angus), Michael Thibodeau and the late Stephanie Thibodeau and step-mother of Rachel Gill (Abdul), Zechariah Gill and Josiah Gill.
Cherished grammy of Safiya.
Dear sister of Peter Wilkinson (Anna), John Wilkinson (Grace) and Mark Wilkinson (Rose).
Survived by her parents-in-law Tom and Jessie Gill, brother-in-law Jeremy Gill (Jackie) and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Rev. William and Carol Wilkinson.

Wendy and Blair were high school sweethearts and found each other again later in life and fulfilled their dream of happiness together for a few years... "Mo Anam Cara". Wendy was educated at Wilfrid Laurier University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She went on to receive a Bachelor of Education degree. Wendy loved to teach, and taught at Christ the King Christian school and later taught at Koinonia Christian school. She also tutored many students in science and other subjects. She was a proficient piano player and vocalist and passionate about music her whole life. Wendy worked for many years as an Ophthalmic Technician helping her brother John build his practice. In more recent years Wendy ran her own daycare centre where she was able to express her special devotion and skills with children. It seemed Wendy's love for children was endless. She had amazing patience and her idea of bliss was being in the midst of a noisy house full of children. As friends and family will attest, Wendy wore her heart on her sleeve and loved passionately. She was loud, bubbly, perky, and full of life. She was the best mother, wife, sister or friend a person could have. We are devastated to lose you Wendy but we were so blessed to have you. We will never forget you and our love for you will never die.

Wendy's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A funeral service will be held at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 127 Hespeler Rd., Cambridge, ON on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Brad Watson officiating. Interment at Woodland Cemetery followed by a reception at the funeral home.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Innisfree House would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
