Passed away peacefully but suddenly, on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at his home at the age of 64. Beloved husband of Fay Gascho for 31 years. Loving father of Maya (Cory Brown), Myles, and Morgan. Dear brother of Denis, Céline Bowman (Ron), Pauline, Michel, Madeleine (Les Pyke), Monique, Louise Gabrielli (Andres), Rita (Don), Annette, François, Marcel, Colette Bryant (Rob), Marc (Maria), and brother-in-law of Jeanette Gascho (Scott Nicoll), and Christine Gascho (Steve Bradley). Predeceased by his parents Laurent and Marie-Paule Bernier, his niece Sierra, his nephew Cameron, and father-in-law Ivan Gascho. André will be fondly remembered by his stepfather Konrad Gruenwald (Katie Balija), his mother-in-law Doris Gascho, many nieces, nephews and friends.
André's family will receive relatives and friends from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467, where a Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will take place at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
