Uhrig, Dorothy (nee: Snider)
Passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Hospice Wellington, at the age of 80.
Beloved wife of Douglas Uhrig and loving mother of Debra Smith and Donald Uhrig (Cindy). Cherished grandmother of Steven Smith, Stephanie, Michael, Mathew and Justin Uhrig. Dear sister of Georgina Evens. Predeceased by parents George and Anna Snider and a brother Gordon Snider
Dorothy was a life long resident of Bloomingdale and a faithful member of the Bloomingdale United Church.
Dorothy's family will receive relatives and friends for a memorial visitation on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m. on and Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. followed by a service at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Reception to follow at the funeral home. Private cremation taken place, Interment of cremated remains will take place at the Bloomingdale Mennonite Cemetery.
Special thank you to Hospice Wellington, Care Partners Nursing Team and the CCAC Palliative Care Team for their compassionate care.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Bloomingdale United Church or Wellington Hospice would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
