Crusz, Rienzi:

Beloved Internationally Acclaimed Canadian Poet Rienzi Crusz passed away September 8th, 2017.

While committed to his craft as a writer, Rienzi worked diligently at The University of Waterloo until 1993 as a senior reference and collections development librarian.

He leaves behind his loving wife Anne of 42 years, his children Daphne, Maria (Hakan), John (Kim) and Michael (Joanna), and his beloved grandchildren Jens, Jasmina, and Ella.

Rienzi is survived by his siblings Maxwell, Noeline, and Jerome Crusz, and is predeceased by his sister Yvonne and brothers Vernon, Noel, and Hillary.

Rienzi's family will receive relatives and friends from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Memories will be shared at 12 noon on Saturday followed by a reception. Cremation has taken place.

The family expresses their thanks for the wonderful care Rienzi received from the Grand River Freeport Hospital, Dr. Duncan Schwarz, and the exceptional nursing staff.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation - Freeport Health Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
