Usher, Susan Jane (nee Berlett)

Peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the age of 70.

Susan was born on December 15, 1946, the daughter of the late Edgar and Margaret Berlett.
Beloved mom of Karen Keelan and proud "Ma" to Brynn and Holden Keelan.
She is survived by her sisters Nancy Wilson (John), Sally Powell (Donald) and Judy Maecker (Raymond).
Favourite aunt to 11 nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a niece in 1970.

Susan was a long time employee (40 years) of KCI where she worked in the main office before becoming Student Activities Secretary. She was KW Oktoberfest Business Women of the Year in 1985. Susan served several positions over the years at Trinity United Church as Sunday School Superintendent and Chair of Christian Development.

Special thanks to Katharine for her dedication and care. Many thanks to friends, neighbours and care givers who helped Susan on her journey. Special thanks also to Dr. Rebecca Guzar for her care and kindness.

Susan's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation will continue on Monday, July 3, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. followed by a memorial service in the chapel of the funeral home, at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow. Cremation has taken place.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Crohns and Colitis Foundation, Emmanuel United Church - Vera's Place or HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
