Called to his eternal home, by his Lord and Saviour, on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the age of 92.
Loving brother to Virginia and William (Clara). Fondly remembered by his nephews David (Katherine) and Mark (Jodi) , his great-nephews Matthew and Nathan and his great-niece Mandi.
Predeceased by his parents Clayton and Clara Schmidt, nephew Robert and relative and longtime friend Pastor Ralph Huras.
Murray was a longtime member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church where in his earlier years he taught Sunday school and he was also a member of the faculty at Conestoga College. His hobbies included listening to classical music and reading educational books.
The family is most grateful to all the caregivers at Winston Park retirement home for the wonderful care given to Murray during his stay there.
Murray's family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 to 10:45 AM on Monday, July 10, 2017 at Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener. 519-749-8467. Funeral Service in the chapel on Monday at 11:00 AM. Reception to follow.Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery.
