Condolence From: Theresa McVea, audiologist, Saint John NB
Condolence: For those in the audiology community, this was a big loss that our dept just learned of today. Belated condolences to his family & a toast to his leadership, generosity and enthusiasm for the field of audiology. He was one of the first people I met as a new grad in 1994 and he was like a father figure. Teaching us the ropes, & making sure there was a "Canada night" in the States at the AAA convention so colleagues got together. He was all about inclusion and community and I will forever be grateful for the wonderful role model he was. He set the bar high!

Condolence: Please accept my sincere condolences. Most of my professional life in Canada, I knew Al as a competitor. Al was a wonderful man who loved his work, aimed and worked hard to advance the hearing instrument industry in Canada. He Loved his family so, he brightened up every time we talked about you, his family. Al was a great resource to me, and someone I held in high regard. The world is a smaller place with the loss of such an elegant, caring man!

Condolence: My deepest sympathy, Al was like a second dad to me, I grew up from my teens to my 30's with this man in my life. He was a true inspiration and will greatly missed. I wish I was able to see him again when I left Bernafon, but everytime I had stopped in, he was out. :( well one day I will see him again, but until then, I wish you the very best, and kids!! go do what you desire the most in life, don't let anything hold you back, live your passion.. but be smart about it.. your father was a wonderful wonderful man, loving father and I know he loved you Leslie.. God bless you all. Rest in Peace Al.. you will be missed.

Condolence From: Rosemary Tanner
Condolence: Dear Leslie: I am so very sorry for your loss. My relationship with Al as a supplier was enjoyable and insightful with his great ideas and understanding. He was an executive who treasured his dealings with people as much as he did the business. I feel blessed to have met him, and to have worked with him. He always welcomed me with his standard greeting "Hello Firefly" which brought a smile to my face immediately, not sure he ever called me by name. What a wonderful man...I think of him often. Sincerely, Rosemary

Condolence: My sincerest condolences to Leslie, Addison and Grayson. Al will be missed by so many in our industry whose lives he touched professionally and socially. When I first started my business, I stared using Bernafon products just because Al was such a nice guy. We had kids at about the same time and every time I saw him we would compare having boys vs having girls. He just radiated love when he talked about his family. He always had a smile and a kind word of encouragement. Sending prayers your way.
