Obituary for Dieter Otto Stoll

Dieter Otto Stoll
Stoll, Dieter Otto

It is with great sadness to announce the sudden passing of our dear father and grandfather, on July 19, 2017, at the age of 75.

Beloved Papa to Birgit Walch (Augustin) and Maik Stoll (Tammy).
Loving and fun Opa to Katherina (Eric), Louisa, Gloria, Georg, Cassidy and Lukas.
Cherished and deeply missed by his brothers Norbert (Monika) and Guenther (Meta), all of Germany, special and treasured cousin to Horst Bausch (the late Elisabeth) of Alberta and Ursula Reichert (Dieter), of Germany all of which he shared a very special bond with and loved visiting often.

Survived by the mother of his children Elke Stoll and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by his parents Otto in 1987 and Lydia (nee Merkel) in 1971, Tante Anna, Tante Dora (Onkel Erich), Onkel Manfred (Tante Erna), Godmother Tante Martha (Onkel Heinrich).

Born in Speyer, Rhein, Germany on December 3, 1941. He had a profound passion for farming and providing fresh food to families in our community. He started growing strawberries in 1975 in Germany amongst other fruits, vegetables and cash crops. He immigrated with his family to Kitchener, ON in 1985 to continue the tradition of growing the well known Stoll Strawberries. He loved living on the farm and enjoyed being amongst nature and wildlife and loved to travel. His humour, playfulness and joking ways will be greatly missed by all.
