The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Patricia Reitzel can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Hey "Bestie", I sat on a beach yesterday with my feet in the lake thinking of you and how much you loved the beach. Shed some tears as I remembered our trip to Dominican Republic, the lobster dinner you arranged for my birthday, the para-sailing we did, and of course the music, and dancing. I remember carrot cake at Symposium, the Blues Festivals, pedicures, many many great conversations, Jacob and Abraham. You were there when I needed a friend, Summerfolk, trail walking. It was hard to see you in pain these past several months.... I always admired your strength and tenacity when things didn't go as you planned.... you'd just try again... I love that about you. Holding you in my heart my friend.... and wherever you are now, I see you singing and dancing.... hugs and much love. Trish

Condolence: It breaks my heart to say goodbye today, to a very dear and longtime friend. You are finally free from suffering, though, so I find peace in this. Toward the end of your struggle, I have to admit, that it was difficult to keep my chin up, and share the strength and determination that you showed each and every day, until the very end. Although, I was not with you in person, in your final hours...I know somehow, that you had some small thought, or memory of our good time. You LOVED blues music...Right 'Blusie"?? We had SO much fun in March of this year when you came up to my place and we went to Kincardine, to listen to Bill Durst at the Bruce Inn and ate wonton nachos, until we looked like them...and just enjoyed his singing!! When you asked me to take you...I said " Sure!!, but who the heck is Bill Durst".... you sent this link to me;https://billdurst.com/bill-durst-biography . Another time this spring...I came for a 'sleepover' at your place and you had 'beloved Bun-Bun', your daughters bunny...you cuddled him to comfort you....he loved it!! I will share two pics, on this site, that we took that night...and remember this happy Tricia, that I knew and loved....'So long, girl, see you later"... Love Rose(and Mark) Weber

Condolence: Larry, Paul and I will miss our friend Tricia. Tricia was a graceful and accomplished dancer. She was passionate about R&B, entertaining and creating a gourmet dinner. The four of us attended many Saturday matinees at the blues lounge listening to our favourite musicians - and didn't we laugh! We shared so many commonalities - strong religious beliefs, musical enjoyment, sampling excellent cuisine and a beverage, participation in the German wine society, smoking aromatic cigars, thriving at the beach (trailer, sand and surf) and our Pfaff sewing machines. Tricia was married to a Reiztel - my grandmother, great uncles and great aunts were Reitzels. We loved continuous learning. Loss hurts but we are thankful for our unforgettable memories. Someday we will meet again and tap our high heels to beat of Jack de Keyzer!
