Burkholder, Marnie:

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at the age of 85.

Beloved wife of Stuart Burkholder. Daughter of the late William and Margaret Medhurst. Loving mother of Janice Gottschalk (Herb), Ted Crowther (Carole), Rob Crowther (Janet), and Carrie Claus (Gerald). Cherished and proud Grandma Marnie of Jill (Ralf), Jamie (Pierre), Kim (Jon), Kate (Joe), Jake, Scott, and Maggie, and great-grandmother to Elsa, Ewan, and Sebastian. Dear sister of Don Medhurst (Carol), and predeceased by her sister-in-law Judy Medhurst. She will be fondly remembered by her nephew Bill Medhurst (Barb), niece Kelly Goody (Jim), many cousins and the Burkholder family.

Marnie's family will receive relatives and friends from 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at The Pines, 115 Fountain Street South, Cambridge, Ontario, N3H 1J2, where a Celebration of Marnie's life will be held with remembrances being shared at 7:45 p.m. A private family interment will take place in Cobourg, Ontario in September. The family would like to thank St. Mary's Hospital Emergency, ICU, and 7th floor Palliative Care Team, especially nurse Marion. Special thanks to Dr. Ross Kennel and staff for the compassionate care they gave Marnie.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
