Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of family on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Guelph General Hospital at the age of 76.
Dearly loved husband of Rev. Elaine Beattie. Dear father of Jennifer Hackman (Dwayne), Andrea Beattie-Hahn (John) and grandchildren Jessica, Kyle, Gregory, Mallory, Jake and Matthew. Dear stepfather of Andrew Morris (Allison), Carrie Charles (Anthony) and David Morris (Natasha) and grandchildren Dion, Jaida, Madison, Seija and Miila. Dear brother of Peter Beattie and Patricia Matthew.
Ross taught at Norwell District Secondary School for 23 years.
The family of Ross Beattie will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. The funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2017 in the chapel of the funeral home followed by a reception. Private cremation to follow.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Children's Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
