Condolence: To the family of Ross Beattie

Ross, Peter, and I were childhood friends on Patricia Blvd. in Timmins in the late 1940s. I have many fond memories of those years.

About 10 years ago I managed to contact Ross and he came to our house for lunch with me and my wife Ellie. I tried all of my memories on for size (we left Timmins in 1950) and most of them resonated with Ross! It was a great occasion.

Although our friendship was so many years ago, Ross' death has saddened me. It is like bringing an era to an end. And Peter, if you would like to chat I would like that very much. My address is richardfuke@gmail.com

Our very best wishes

Richard and Ellie Fuke

I had the privilege to meet and get to know Ross as a member of Cafe Phylo and at the men's lunches. He will be missed by many of us in the Village.
