Meisel, Dora Vanelle (nee Sherk):
Passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at People Care AR Goudie at the age of 100.
Beloved wife of the late Harold Meisel (1970). Loving mother of Judy (Del) Schultz, Jane (Robert) Hildebrand, Shelley (Warner) Gottwald, and Christine (David) Bristow. Cherished grandmother of Susan (Randy) Sauer, Murray Schultz, Jennifer (Arlen) Keyes, Laurie (Dailen) Keyes, Mark Hildebrand, Carolyn (Rob) Nolan, Ryan (Kristen) Gottwald, Jordan Gottwald, Ryan (Vicky) Bristow, and Brad (Genevieve) Gingrich and 14 great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law of Helen Dykeman. She will be missed by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by grandaughter-in-law Christine Hildebrand (2012) and great-grandson, Luke Sauer (2015), her parents, Jesse and Emma Sherk, siblings, David (Helen), John (Mildred), Willard (Stella), Alice (Allan) McVicar, Lois (Lorne) Johannes and brothers-in-law, Ralph (Mae) Meisel, and Lorne Dykeman.
Dora was a faithful member of Benton St. Baptist Church.
The Meisel family will receive relatives and friends from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 24th at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Private family service and interment.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Benton St. Baptist Church or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
