I was sorry to read of Don's passing in the Waterloo Region Record. I was first acquainted with Don when we both played for the Bridgeport Vets Intermediate OHA Champions in 1951. Later on during the 1960's we were both enrolled in a Guidance Course sponsored by the Ontario Ministry of Education in Toronto. I believe that at that time he was employed as a teacher at St. Jerome's High School in Kitchener. Around the same time I was employed at the Wingham District High School and later became the Principal of the F. E. Madill Secondary School in Wingham retiring in 1984. We drifted apart put I still remember our very strong friendship at the time. Please accept my sympathy on your loss.

I have had the great pleasure and honor of knowing and working with your wonderful father Don for many years. He was one of the most lovable and interesting persons I have ever known. He always gave generously of himself to help and care for others and I noticed that his fine qualities have rubbed off onto his children and they are carrying on in his place.
