Condolences

Condolence From: Michele Weidinger
Condolence: I am deeply sorry for your loss. I cannot believe that I have been so out of touch that I missed the passing of both of your parents. I will never forget their love and kindness shared with a very shy and self-conscious teenage friend of Mary Anne's. I wish you all the best and know that I will forever feel blessed to have had your parents and Mary Anne in my life.

Condolence: Family and friends,
I was sorry to read of Don's passing in the Waterloo Region Record. I was first acquainted with Don when we both played for the Bridgeport Vets Intermediate OHA Champions in 1951. Later on during the 1960's we were both enrolled in a Guidance Course sponsored by the Ontario Ministry of Education in Toronto. I believe that at that time he was employed as a teacher at St. Jerome's High School in Kitchener. Around the same time I was employed at the Wingham District High School and later became the Principal of the F. E. Madill Secondary School in Wingham retiring in 1984. We drifted apart put I still remember our very strong friendship at the time. Please accept my sympathy on your loss.

Condolence: My sincere condolences to all of you on the passing of your father, one of the warmest, most understanding and compassionate men I have ever met. Others will mention your dad's enormous embracing hugs, which I had the privilege of receiving regularly. However it was also your father's insight into the needs of others and the incredible support he provided to so many that became his legacy in his guidance roles with the Waterloo County Board of Education. Please know that his influence and role modelling made a huge difference in our schools for both students and staff as you celebrate his love of life.
Most sincerely,
Patti Haskell
Retired Director of Education
But more importantly Don's friend❤️

Condolence: To the wonderful Pickett family;
I have had the great pleasure and honor of knowing and working with your wonderful father Don for many years. He was one of the most lovable and interesting persons I have ever known. He always gave generously of himself to help and care for others and I noticed that his fine qualities have rubbed off onto his children and they are carrying on in his place.
Unfortunately I will not be able to attend Don's funeral due to ill health -- but rest assured my thoughts and prayers will be with you all.
May God Bless- sincerely, with love and respect --- Morris MacMillan
