Passed away, surrounded by the love of her family, on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 73.

For all who knew her, you know how much Daphne adored her grandchildren. Her daughters and their families were her pride and joy. Daphne moved to Kitchener in 2014 to be closer to her family. There have been many wonderful memories. Daphne worked for many years in property management for her family’s business in Oshawa.

Loving mother of Julie Kohls-Gatzoulis (Michael Gatzoulis) of Guildford, England and Disa (Kurt) Hansen of Kitchener.
Cherished Grammy of Michael "Mikey" and William Gatzoulis, and Eleanor "Ellie" and Thomas Hansen.
Will be fondly remembered by her brothers, Freeman and Raymond Reid, and her sister-in-law Peggy Kohls.
Will be cherished forever by Shelly Decker, Personal Support Worker and dear friend.
Will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Predeceased by her parents, William and Effie Reid.

Thank-you to all of the St. Mary’s ICU team, The Westmount Long-Term Care and Doon Village Retirement for caring for our precious mother.

The family will receive friends at the internment which will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday October 5th at Union Cemetery in Oshawa. 760 King Street W., Oshawa.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Daphne will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday October 7th, at Henry Walser Funeral Home. 507 Fredrick Street, Kitchener. Reception to follow. Cremation has taken place.

As expressions of sympathy and Daphne's love for children, donations to the Children's Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
